And there is a unique bond between both the industries; Bollywood has come up with a new trend recently by bringing Cricketers into the screen. But, surprisingly very few cricketers have made appearance in both fields among the billions of Indians. The trend is apparent in today’s Indian scenario while some of the cricketers had already made appearance in Hindi films. Salil Ankola:

Salil Ashok Ankola was in Indian cricket team from 1989 to 1997. This former Indian cricketer played in one Test and 20 ODIs in his cricket career. Though, he was one among the Indian cricket team for the 1996 Cricket World Cup, his cricket career was not so appreciated and he landed up in Bollywood industry. He had acted in the Bollowood movie ‘Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne’ starring by Esha Deol and Zayed Khan. But despairingly, his both the career was failure. While his social drinking turn to an addiction, he was admitted to a rehabilitation centre in 2008.
